Young parents stumble into this error. If a baby would kill to get away from the circumcision procedure (I assure you they would) then this ought to inform the subject for the next young parent. It doesn’t because of the political pressure to lie about it, or the reticence of speaking of genitalia, or concerns for hurting someone’s feelings (while the baby is having its psyche slaughtered). This is why those of us who do not like to be tortured, and who would extend the courtesy of protection to our fellow man (as opposed to those who would not) are naturally antagonistic to anyone trying to shut down the conversation. Do not be complicit.
