I never think of this error as being the fault of the parents. If parents knew they would not do it. Those who do blame parents ask ‘how the hell can one not know the prima facie!?’ Fair enough. Yet infant circumcision has become a meme, and this is a cultural trance. The parents are in a trance. The blame is for the educated, the elders, leadership (politicians, clergy, lawyers, doctors, scientists, newscasters). Do they lose their 30 pieces of silver, or risk 30 pieces more if they speak in the Milieu of the cultural meme? Do they tell you the hearsay of the bible as their escape route? It is cowardly not to speak as authority against the butchering of the genitalia of the innocent.
